Internet Plug-Ins for Mac 10.3.9

Hello,
having similar problems with the flash player 9 plug-ins in my mac 10.3.9. Can anybody tell me how a mac plug.in should look like in library? Is it like a clear sheet of paper or a "lego" piece, or a black rectangle (Quick Time player plug-in; it causes some complaints, too)? I happen to have all these in there...Help!
