Hello,
I'm having a problem getting sound on my computer. I've never had this problem until recently. I tried playing some music saved on my computer and here's the error message I get:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

I don't understand what may have happened. I haven't installed or changed anything on it recently, so what gives??

Pleassse Help!

Thank you

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3

Hi,
Thanks for responding. Here's what happened. When I right clicked on my desktop and clicked on properties, it brought of display properties. I didnt see anything about device manager. Also, I no longer have the disc to reinstall the driver.

So, what now? :(
