Hello,
My computer automatically shuts down every time I play 3d games like second life, perfect world, etc after around 20 minutes of playing the games. Then I need to remove the plug from the cpu and the other end to the wall socket and connect it again to have power and restart it again. This only happens everytime I play the online games.
My computer specs are Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Pentium 4. Processor is Intel 2.80GHz. Display adapter is ATI Radeon 9600 / X1050 Series. Memory is 1 GB of RAM. DirectX 10 graphics controller. The fan works perfectly.
Is there any problem of Power Supply wattage? Description of it is INTEX Switching Power Supply 350 watt
AC input: 220 volts 50 hz 3A. DC output: +5v : 22A (Pentium 4 atx2.03)

I need your help to solve the problem. Thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3

Dear Cherry,

This is a clear indication that your Graphics card does not meet

the requirements for playing 3D games. You will have to check

out the requirements please.

Thanks in advance.

Ignore that stupid previous answer. If your card wasn't capable of playing 3d games they wouldnt work AT ALLl not for 20 minute intervals.

I had a similar issue on a old system and found the power supply was failing and not providing sufficient stable power. Also could be a stick of RAM on the blink.. try removing sticks one a time to see if that makes any difference. Also try closely monitoring your cpu and gpu temps as it may shutdown due to overheating. Theres a fair few reasons why.. but certainly your card 'not being capable' is not a factor if you're getting 20 minutes of play before a shutdown.

tsk.
