Inspiron 1545 and Printer 926

Hello,
I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop running XP Pro. I also have a Dell Inspiron 1520 to which was successfully using a Dell all-in-one 926 printer. I want to use the printer with the 1545 instead of the 1520. I connected tthe printer to the 1545, inserted the installation cd, but I got the message "Installation stopped due to incorrect system id. Please check your system and try again." I went to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information, but I don't understand if I need to install a printer driver for this printer or what.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0, Dell Inspiron 1545, XP Pro

Hi there,

install the driver first

then at last step connect the printer to laptop
