Help my monitor says NO SIGNAL

Hello,
my dog chewed the wire that connects the monitor to the pcu and i bought a new one only it still isn't working
it was working just fine. I know it is the right wire and I have disconnected everything and reconnected them but it still says no signal

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Do u have ups if yes try disconnecting it and join the wires. if it doesn't work then u can borrow a monitor from yours friend and can check it. if this dosent work there a problem in the cable.
