Cannot install canon mf6540

Hello,
I have tried installing my canon mf6540 computer on my new computer (HP Pavillion Elite, 64 bit) system and the program runs and says the computer is installed but the computer programs cannot find it and say no printer is installed. I have fdone this 5 times and shut rebooted the computer three of the times. I am using the disk canonc sent with the printer for installation. Help.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello Sir,

If you are using Windows Vista 64-bit, you will need the 64-bit driver.

It is located in the driver cd you got with your printer,

Or just try searching for the driver here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/...
