Hello,
I have a computer that Ive had since 2004. Worked fine until June 2009 when I moved and it sat unused for 3 months. I got internet @ my new place and used the computer all day. When I tried to turn it on the following day it told me windows couldnt boot up due to an error, but the space after the : was blank. I took it to my brother-in-law's house and it booted up no problem for him. Get it home and use it that day and its fine. Next day, same thing. Won't boot up. I leave it alone a while then go back and now it just makes a buzzing noise and the monitor stays dark, but the green kight is on. Any ideas on fixing it? Im having to type this (along with all other internet usage) via our Wii.

A lot of computer have problems after moving. I suggest you open the case and check the internal cards to see if any a loose. The best way is to remove and reinsert each card. I would also do the same for the power cables to the motherboard. Unplug the PC from the wall before doing the above. This simple fix might be all that's needed. Or, you might have a failing hard drive.

Good Luck
