Hey there,
well just follow these steps and if it isnt working then the problem is with your microphone and all you have to do is to chage it..

1)in windows live messenger open the tools menu, audio and video setup
2)click on next button
3)select you type of speakers or headset; it should not be none.
4)select the microphone
5)select the webcam if any
6)click on finish

and you are done..

Didn't help me ...I have lenovo usb webcam and works fine on gmail video chat ...not win live msgr ...how come?

I got your directions, however, after audio and video setup, I do not have the "next" bottom, I got unable to set up.

I am doing this for my sister by the phone, she is not savvy with computer


any ideas?
