I've recently came into a GeForce 8800GT and tried mounting it in the place of my old GeForce 7800. After mounting it the computer starts beeping loudly (one long beep) and stays like that until i power it off.
I've looked up the power requirements for the new card and many people agree that 3 x 12V rails with 16A on each are enough. My PSU has 450W so that should be enough, but i also have an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, 2 hard drives and an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and i'm thinking they may be using up most of the power.
