Bios upgrade for Ace linpus linux lite...pls

Hello,
Acer Aspire One zg5 [white one] Linpus Linex v.1.0.9.E
says the [new] battery is fully charged, but the orange lite keeps on blinking and it won't run on the battery at all.
there are only downloads for the bios upgrade [3309] for windows on the Acer site...as well other forums...please help...with any suggestions thanks.
