Problems with Disk Clean-Up utility, on Wednesday July 30, 2008 08:55:49 PM

Can anyone please help...
When I try to run the disk clean-up utility In Win XP, it starts to scan the C drive and then the utility just closes. I cannot get it to run for a clean up. What do i do. i have very limited computer experience so i will need a step-for-step solution please.

You can have a direct scan from windows.

Just follow below steps :

Go start

Click on programs

then accessories

System tools

Then click on Disk clean up.

It will automatically start the application.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is not launching the scan disk utility, but rather the fact that once i have opened it, it starts it's scan to clalculate the disk space that will be cleaned up, but about half way into the scan the program just aborts and terminates.

Any suggestions?
