Internet connection to my nokia 3110c

Hello,
I am usin nokia 3110c. In my hostel there is a free wireless internet connection for all laptops. when i went deep in my mobile i saw an personal configuration where proxy settings. My question is can i connect to internet with that wireless connection. If yes how?
