Firefox Pop-ups

I am getting random pop ups in firefox and i dont know why or how to stop them. my pop up blocker is turned on, i have norton 360 sp3.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.5.3

Does it happen when in IE as well? If so it may not be pop-ups, and it could be a virus of some sort.
Check out this posting and try what they had tried to check.
