Hi,

i have an old pentium 3 at home equiped with windows Xp , it actually runs with a a 128 sd ram ( prehistorical cpu)

I have got a spare ddr 512 ram.

After having connected it to my mother board it the update or my virtual memory has increased but once boot in windows seems that nothing has change and it is still showing 128 sd ram instead of 512 + 128 .

How can i solve this problem ?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

In fact,

You cannnot use both sd and ddr ram at the same time.

This can cause conflit to you system.

Best is to use only the DDR ram.

Cheers;
Moh

Hi,
How can you be sure that if the sdram is removed,then the ddr will work perfect.If already tested,pls let me know since I have an old P3,80gb Harddrive with 448ms SDRAM.So can I boost up directly to 512mb DDR?

Waiting for your answer.
