HELP! Olympus digital voice recorder

Hello, I need help to download from my Olympus digital voice recorder VN- 6000/5000 to my laptop. I have the cable, but i guess i need some software.

Olympus offers no software for this device. Do you have a cable to connect the earphone connector to the microphone connector on the PC? I assume Windows 7 has sound application in Control Panel that must be activated to start recording. This is a link to some free recording software:
