Does not display from the Pc to TV

Hello,

I asked a hardware dealer how to connect the CRT Standard Television to my PC. The Hardware dealer told me to connect the PC to Television by buying a cable which would be available in the electronic shop. So I bought S-Video to RC3. I tried to connect my PC to the television by following the instruction given in the help. But I am getting a message that there no television connected to this device. How do I do this? Kindly suggest the settings I should apply.
