Why does my dsl send bytes but wont receive

Hello, i have a big problem when i connect to my broadband internet it says its connected and it sends bytes but it wont recieve.......but i can search stuff tru google and it will pop up what i search but when i click on a webpage it wont load and it only does this on my hp computer so i know its not the modem b/c my dell connects just fine
