Knowing a computer name over the Internet

Hello,
Could anyone tell me how to find out a PC name over the internet.
I keep receiving some kind of mail from someone with an unknown email address. I Need to know the computername of that person (to find out which of my friend is doing that).

Any dos command? or tool?
