Can I change Windows Vista to Windows Xp on my HP pavillion 6500 without the product CD?

It is not a good idea to try to change to XP on these HP laptops. HP uses an advanced SATA connection that is not supported in XP and HP does NOT supply or support the hardware drivers needed for XP. If you want to try I suggest you first Google "slipstream SATA drivers" for more information.
