Cant remove SecurityTool virus

I have this SecurityTool virus and followed the removal procedure here. http://www.powerclickz.com/computer-virus/how-to-remove-security-tool.html
But the problem is while scanning malwarebytes, it hangs and scan did not finish. Please help.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0
