Hello,
I just bought a new hard drive and when I turn the computer on, I get a black screen saying Press F1 or F2.
When I press F1, they say computer needs rebooting. F2 takes me straight to the systems page. I have an operating systems cd and when I run that it says hard drive can't be found. Can someone help me. I have a Dell Dimension 3100 bought in 2003.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

The computer remains on the black screen at all times. There is no way I can access "My computer". Do you have any more suggestion? I have a Dell Dimension 3100, windows xp. Do you know anything about diagnostics?
