I tried upgrading my itunes to the newest version, but it didn't work and now everytime I try to open itunes a pop up says 'Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes (Error 7)'

So I went to the itunes website to reinstall itunes and it came up with two options: Repair itunes or Remove itunes. I Clicked repair and downloaded the setup. But again, this did not work and the error message popped up again.

I was just wondering; If I delete Itunes, will it delete all my music including music i've downloaded from other sites & Limewire?
And If I try downloading again after i've deleted the corrupt one, will I be able to put all my old music back onto it?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi Nim,

In order for you to play your songs on Itunes, the songs must be on your hard drive. Therefore if you uninstall Itunes, the songs will still be there, and you can just re-add them once you reinstall Itunes :)

Hello Sir,

It won't delete the music and videos you downloaded,

You will have to remove completely itunes which you installed,

Then delete itunes folder in Program Files

Go to:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Download itunes there and install it

Thanks
