Cant burn cd

Hello,
i have a compaq presario and windows xp. i can play cd"s and dvds and wen i got my puter i could burn cd" but now i cant. can someone plz help me plz?

Dear Sir,

I will recommend you to install a fresh windows xp, format the existing windows,
Install all your drivers and also install nero again!

then try to see if this works

If it doesn't work you will have to replace the DVD Writer
