Bootable Usb Drive

Hello,
I want to make my usb bootable just like a bootable cd or dvd for window xp setup. I have an image file of windows xp and I extracted it and copied to my usb but it does not boot. Please tell me that how I can make my usb bootable for windows xp setup like a bootable cd. I want to install windows xp from my Usb drive.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0
