Hello,

So my friend wants my help picking out a laptop for her. She wants xp pro and not vista. I know there are laptops still being made with xp pro but I see a ton more with vista. Would it be a bad idea if i got one with vista and installed xp on myself? Do you guys think there would be some driver issues and compatibility problems?

Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

Some newer laptops may not have XP drivers available for some hardware, especially cheap offshore brands. Some will also brick themselves if you try to install anything other than their own Vista on them, rendering them un-bootable.
