Hello,
I work on two computers one with Vista home premium and one with XP-Pro.
The office data files made under Vista can't be updated or deleted on the XP computer.
The data is stored on a USB-drive.
How can I update/delete files made under Vista/MS-office on the XP/MS-office computer?

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.5.3

If you have Office 2007 on one computer (Vista?) and office 2000 or 2003 on the other ("XP") you can have problems with the native office FILE formats. There are two solutions:

1. go to www.microsoft.com and download the Office 2007 document converter for your older copy of Office.
2. save the documents from Office 2007 using Office 2003 ("doc") format

Good Luck

I use the same ms-office version, it seems it has to do with Vista protection. I can read the data files but not save them with the same name and I cant delete the original file under XP.

The file source is not the same so you definitely need vista to delete it !
