Routers

Hello,

Alright here's the problem, we have two desktop computers that we are trying to connect to the internet. Our setup is Linksys modem and router. One computer I connect through the router to the internet the other I can only connect if I connect directly through the modem. So basic I can only connect to the internet through the modem not the router any ideas? I recently did install a Windows Update and can't do a System Restore to an earlier date. I am using Windows XP Media Center.

Thanks.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

For both connected to the router please show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
