GO here

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/...

First goto the CTO model page and get all drivers

then go to the exact mdodel page to get drivers specially for your model (look on sticker on laptop)

Cheers, Gump

Tho dv6000 CTO drivers worked w/ the exception of the Chipset, Video, LAN and WiFi. It all depends on how the machine is configured. Mine did not have nVidia chips but instead Intel. The video is Intel 945GM Express (download from Intel's website) and the chipset is sp32555 (search HP). LAN: sp33645; WiFi: sp34489.

Others
MS Univ Audio Architecture: sp33867 (install this BEFORE the audio driver.)
Conexant High-Def Audio: sp34200
HDAUDIO DF Modem w SmartCP: sp33742
HP Wireless Assistant: sp34510
Quick Launch Buttons: sp38266
Synaptics Touchpad: sp37065

Now that the latest release of Mandriva is out your OS should automatically prompt you to download the required drivers and an updated kernel when you run harddrake. If not then you may need to update your media sources using urpmi addmedia. The official mirrors can not list some software due to legalities.Nvidia chipset was a problem for me on the HPdv6000.Now all features are working just fine with this latest kernel-which is a sign that the hardware is getting outdated
