Hi all,

I've recently set up a LAN hub on my computer and am trying to connect my Lexmark c540n printer directly to the hub using a standard Cat5 cable (rather than to the computer via a USB connection) as I'd like other computers on my home network to be able to use this printer regardless of which computers I have turned on (or off) at any given moment in time. Now, however, when I try to add a printer to the network, it can't find the printer. I'm using XP Pro...

I'm sure this is an easy fix but I'm stumped... any suggestions welcomed.

Thanx

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3

Have you set the ip address, subnet mask and gateway details in the printer?
are they set to the same parameters as the rest of your LAN

These details will be set up on your printer. do you have the manual. the display should have an option to set these up.
