Downgrading VISTA to XP - System details HP pavilion DV6 notebook PC.
I tried to downgrade my o/s from VISTA to XP on my notebook Pavilion DV6 , but when i'm trying to do the same i'm getting the below error, I had checked with HP total care they are not giving me a proper solution,
Also in BIOS option SATA native is not appearing. Can any one help me in this regards

RUN CHKDISK /F TO CHECK FOR HARDDRIVE CORRUPTION, AND THEN RESTART YOUR
COMPUTER.

Hello there,

You will have to change your SATA settings,

On your Bios please check the On-board SATA Mode set it to IDE then try installing Windows XP

This will work

Hi,

In bios settings f10, I dont find SATA settings.

Main,
diagnostics
system configuration
Exit
One more option i dont remember the name it contains passord settings


My system details HP pavilion Dv6 1243cl entertainment Notebook PC.
