Local disk drive D & E are not opening

Hello,
When i open MY COMPUTER it shows 3 hard disk drives-Local disk C,D&E. But D & E are not opening.
It shows the message- "The disk in drive D is not formatted. Do you want to format it now."
The same message shows with E drive. C drive is working properly. Pls help to solve this problem.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

I have the same problem!
I don`t want to format it, because I don`t want to lose my files. Is there any other option to solve the problem?
