Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop with Windows XP. The keys that don't work are Left CTRL key, Squiggly Line key, all F keys, Delete Key, Home Key, Insert Key, the 5 and 6 key, dash and equal sign key. That's all I know of so far. I tried to uninstall the driver, and I don't think it did anything. I also tried cleaning with wipes and spray. I would really like to fix this problem myself if I can because I don't want to send it off for who knows how many weeks just to get the keyboard replaced. If you can help I would appreciate it very much!!!! Thanks!

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3

Are you able to plug a usb keyboard in. if that works ok, then suspect keyboard. if it doesn't and the same keys are faulty then suspect software.

Did this problem arise overnight or did it creep up on you. do you remember any software upgrades/installs

I will try the USB keyboard later when my sister is done using it. Also, one day they worked just fine and the next they stopped working. I didn't upgrade or install anything, but my boyfriend turned on the computer and it started beeping at him and doing weird stuff and after that is when they stopped working. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
