Hi,
I boought a new MacBook from my school when I started my MBA in 2007. In 2009 someone hacked into my computer
(yes, it's true, my Mac was hacked - verified by the IT dept at IU). They changed the admin password and created a new user. i can't get to any of those user files to see what they have done or are doing. I need to either recover or change the admin password, but I am now in NY and my discs are safe at home in Dallas.
I tried the four line command solution several times, but each time, after I type the first line and hit enter I get this: "root #" From there I can't type the other three lines bc it says it doesn't recognize them.
Can you please help with this?
Thanks,
Bill
