Hello,
At the start up it does the IDE scan finds only one of my Harddrive but not the orther or my cd-rom.
I have only one IDE slot on my mother board and I have 2 IDE harddrives and 2 CD-rom drives, i bought a IDE expantion card and i plugedd my cd-rom drives there but now the computer doesn't see the them.
One of my harddrive it brand new and i have never used it before do i have to do something before i can use it or is it something competely different.
if i need to format it how do i get into command prompt when not in windows andwhy can't i see my cd-rom drive when windows has loaded
Configuration: Windows XP

did you only recently add the new hard drive and the additional IDE controller?
check the jumper settings on all drives (master/slave)

now, the BIOS may not detect the CDROM drives on the add-on controller but windows should, once the new hardware has been detected and the drivers are installed.
