Set the date in ini file using a batch file

Hello,

Can anyone pls help me in setting the values in my .ini file using a batch file?

My ini file looks like this
<TB_DATE>
<CURR_NUMBER NUMBER="425" TDATE="01/09/2009" />
</TB_DATE>

I want the batch file to always set the value to say "1000" for the the first variable.(The original value can be anything)
For the second variable, the value should always be the "current date" in dd/mm/yyyy.(The original value can be anything)

Configuration: Windows 2000 Internet Explorer 6.0
