Dear Sir

To remove write protection from pen drive:

1)plug the usb
2)run--->regedit
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies]
“WriteProtect”=dword:00000001
the last value u can change as 01 (WriteProtect”=dword:00000000)

This will work

Thanks

Hello Realiser,

With reference to your instructions on how to correct the 'write protection issue' on 32 GB Kingston pen drive. I followed your exact instructions but somehow cannot find storage drive policies with the file you indicated. Would you kindly provide more details on how to change the binary code from 00000001 to show a 0 at the end please. I really need help.

thanks.
