TOSHIBA PA3378U-1ACA Adapter problem

Hello,
i porchase a new PA3378U-1ACA adapter. There is a problem, when I plug this unit into the wall the LED goes green. However when I then plug the other end into my laptop, the LED goes Red.
Would you help me? Thanks!

Model: PA-1750-08
Input: 100-240V ~ 50-60 Hz 1.5A
Output: 15 V === 5A

Replacement Switching Power Supply
Input: AC 100-240V 50/60 Hz
Output: DC 16V 3.75A
LED Green <= 300 mA

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.13

If it's one of these multi use adapters, have you checked the polarity of the psu you are putting in, you need to check that they are the same.

I don't think this AC Adapter have polarity.
