We need to remove or bypass an adminiatrator's passowrd. We recieved a donated computer for a nonprofit. The PC has windows xp operating system. we activated the operating system with the product key but now we need to activiate windows before the trial period expires. The PC has an administrator's password that is preventing us from accessing the activation key or is allowing us to load software. The place that donated the pc is not willing to support the activation of the equiptment. We may have to disgard the machine if we cannot remove the adminiatrator's passowrd. Help!!

Hello, actually it is possible they donnated only the hardware but not the software or the operating system. (please note that windows is the operating software) there is no need to discard the pc,

The machine has Windows XP on it. I entered the product key information that was attached to the machine. We have a desktop screen. The problem is finding a way to enter the windows activation code before Windows expires in 20 days. An also the PC will not allow us to load any software because we are not the Administrator. No one knows what the administrator's passowrd is. None of us that volunteer at this non profit center has real computer skills. I have the most experiance with PC's which is not much. I do have some limited Dos experiance and no experiance with Linux, or any other operating system. |
