Hello,

The product key located on the base of my Dell Mini 9 netbook has faded away from constant usage.

I wanted to reformat my computer, but I cannot because I don't have the product key.

My computer vendor reformated my computer sometime ago, but he installed pirated version of windows, so the product does not match the one which faded away (Magical Jelly Bean Key finder).

I also opened a text file called unattend.txt from my original windows XP cd and the product key is still invalid.

How do I reformat my computer?

Thanks

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.7

Try to delete the partition (faster than format) on the disk containing the Windows XP. then rerun the Windows XP Installation.

Im not sure, Windows checks whether theres an existing installation on the drive (e.g. C:\Windows)
if you used a pirated CD before with an illegal license it will compare it and obviously give you an invalid key message.

Hope this helps
