My Sony Vaio doesn't start up

Hello,
My sony vaio does't start up. I press the power button and nothing happens, no light, no beep nothing. Connecting the AC adapter does not help as no LED glows. Its simply seems that I am trying to turn it on without any power source. What may be the possible reasons. Kindly help.....

Dear Sir,

Just remove the battery for some minutes,

Then plug it back and plug in the charger and power on again

This should work
