Hello,
I am having problems with the iPOD Nano 8GB, 4th Generation. My boyfriend gave it to me for my birthday and I went to go let it charge on my computer. When I put the USB charger in, the computer couldn't find it at all. It said something about installing it with a CD or flopy disk but the iPOD Nano comes with neither so I just cancel it. When I open iTunes up, it wasnt there either. So I reset my iPOD, uninstall my iTunes and went to Apple.com and downloaded iTunes from there and when I finished all that, my iPOD is still not to be found. I would really like some help on this so will somebody just let me know what's wrong. Thank You!

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Dear Sir,

Did you try plugging the ipod on another computer to see if it detects!

You just have to check if your USB ports are enabled!

To enable the ports just try this:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate, and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
4. In the right pane, double-click Start.
5. In the Value data box, type 3, click Hexadecimal (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.

Then Restart your computer and plug your ipod again

Thanks
