Hi!

Can someone help me with bluetooth support for my laptop HP DV6000.

I'm using Windows Vista.

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect to e.g. a mobile using Bluetooth without any external harware?

I were kind of asumeing that this were built in already...

Thanks!

/P

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I'm also having Bluetooth problems. I have an HP Pavillion 6000 series (Vista). I was able to pair my cell phone to my laptop and send pictures using Bluetooth wireless. All of a sudden it is no longer working. The technicians at my cell phone company say that it's a problem with the Bluetooth on my laptop, NOT the cell phone. What's strange is that I can pair my laptop with my cell phone (I have to enter a code in my cell phone to sync them) but my cell phone doesn't detect my laptop when I want to send information. (I've made sure to click the box that makes my laptop visible to other devices)

I need help! Why is my laptop no longer detectable?

I have installed my 220Plantronic Bluetooth Headset using the Bluetooth
wizard. When I turn on the headset, it shows the device being recognised and
then says it is connecting the headset to the "Audio Gateway" service on this
computer. If I look in the Device Manager under sounds, I can not find the
Bluetooth Headset.
Workaround: under device manager, computer name, add legacy hardware.
Then click next, install hardware manually and from the list select manufacture Broadcom-Bluetooth Hands Free Audio.
This will add Bluetooth Hands Free Audio to the Playback list under Sounds. I hope this works for you....enjoy!!.

Thanks jt,

it worked like a charm, even on vista ultimate with hp elitebook. it has been six months since your post and it is totally not funny that microsoft has not licked this problem yet. local microsoft support office is totally useless even though my company paid through the roof for support. HP is courteous but could not offer a solution as microsoft is as arrogant to hp as is to my company's it support.
