Very sudden slowdown

777bons, on Wednesday July 16, 2008 02:40:01 PM
Hello,

Very strange. My iMac G4 was working fine, and then
suddenly became very slow. The dock is not appearing by
itself, when an application opens, the previous window is
not occulted.
I have disconnected it from my home network, and place
it in a quarantine network. I used a Sniffer to see what it
was sending out (I suspected a key logger, or something),
but there is nothing coming out, except for the CUPS
shared printer advertisement.
I did install Apple latest security update today, but my
other mac is fine. I did get an email that the Mail
application could not display, and the problems started
soon after.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance:
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

Try to do a scan, perhaps it has been infected. So try to scan, if possible do a defrag for your disks.

Hope this will help.
