I just bought parts for a computer. This is the 11th computer I've built so I'm still a newbie but not a complete newbie. Most all the other computers went up pretty much smoothly. This one has been hell!

This motherboard will not detect any hard drives in the BIOS but! It can boot from the harddrive from my main computer! I'm not giving up that harddrive, so that's not a solution. Beyond that though, it won't even detect CD drives!!! It's terrible any ideas? General problems with Abits? I've got an IB9 and the harddrive that works in it is a Maxtor. The ones that don't work are Western Digital and Serigate. But they are both good harddrives. I just pulled them out of a computer I was using yesterday.

Oh, and beyond that the computer is picky about what ram it takes. I have six sticks of ram all of the exact same specs (different manufactures) four work and two don't.

I'm thinking the Motherboard is maybe just bad, somehow.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0
