i just loaded internet explorer 8 on my gateway laptop and trying to restart i can't see any icons except a windows explorer message about error signature. detaails include

I went through this stupidity last night after installing IE8. Even Safe Mode gave me the same stupid error message. I found that by pressing control-alt-delete still brought up the task manager. By going to the directory where IE8 was installed, I was able to click on the uninstall option, and after it completed uninstalling it, my system functioned normally again. Good luck. |
