How do I downgrade iTunes for Mac OSX?

Hello,

I upgraded my iTunes to 8.2, which now means I can't sync my iPod Touch without having to purchase the software to upgrade the Touch. Stupid! I want to know how to download an older version of iTunes so that I can sync info between my Mac and my Touch. In doing that, will I lose any of my music? How does this work?

Configuration: Mac OS X
Safari 530.19
