Sata hard disk on ide motherboard

Hello,
I am using asrock p4i45gv ide motherboard (40gb ide hdd) i want to increase the hdd capacity. can i use sata 80 gb or more hdd on my motherboard . can i use any ide converter to connect sata disk .please tell me that it supports on my mb , any changes needed in my bios setting.

Hello Sir,

You can try connecting using the IDE converter,

Some motherboard won't detect sata hard drives with converter

But you can still try and then check on your bios if it detects
