Hello,

I have an old Dell Inspiron 2200, the monitor cracked, the computer still turns on. I need to retrieve files from the hard drive. I know VERY little about computers, so far It seems my options are 1. Get a hard drive caddy remove hard drive from Dell, (then what? how do I retrieve the files from the caddy, [I don't want to take another computer apart]) 2. Connect the mac and the dell via ethernet (then what? I can't do anything with the dell except turn it on, so I can't alter any settings) 3. Connect via two sided USB ...once again then what...

Please help right now I am connected with an ethernet cable when I try and connect to server, it says the server (the ip address) is already running on my computer.

And forgive me like I said I know NOTHING of computers so this is all new, Ive gotten this far via Google!

Configuration: Mac OS X
Firefox 3.5.2
