How to connect router i have usb modem

Hello,
i have a desktop and a dell laptop.i have bsnl usb modem for internet.
i want to buy a linksys router for file sharing and internet between the two.which product to bye.Configuration: laptop-Windows Vista,2gb,160gb,dual core desktop-Windows XP,1gb,80gb

you can buy the linsys router


and use it for all even wifi connection

Thanks for ur reply but I think I could not explain u the problem.
Linksys router have RJ45 port for modem to attach but i have usb modem.
I will be grateful to u if suggest me a model of linksys router for that.

Even i am facing the same problem... before buying USB to Ethernet converter i would to check with experts will this be possible or not?
