How to reformat my Aspire One netbook D250Solved/Closed

Hello,

pls.. help how can I reformat my laptop netbook aspire one  D250, it got viruse, then some of files on the system deleted... like the keyboard... the system can't acces the path system of it .. 

thanks... pls. help me... what I will do..System Configuration: Windows XP

Create a System Rescue USB drive (Note: An alternative to the spyware-laden Daemon-tools for mounting the ISO file as a virtual CD-ROM is Virtual CloneDrive). If you have trouble with the System Rescue CD, you can try some other distros.

Reboot the netbook and go into the Acer BIOS settings. Change the boot settings to check USB first. Plug in your System Rescue stick, and restart the netbook.

Run &#8220;wizard&#8221;, and launch gtparted (icon towards the lower-left of the screen).
Delete partition 2, create a new one, then reformat it as NTFS

Mark partition 1 as bootable (right-click, edit flags). Remove USB drive.
Reboot into the Acer System Restore software. Choose to restore the system.

Plug the System Rescue USB drive back into the Acer netbook.

Reboot into the System Rescue CD/USB, go back into gparted, and flag the restored partition 2 as bootable.

Remove USB flash drive and reboot.

 Search for the product and download the drivers.

Alternatively, the factory installed drivers and applications can be re-installed by using Acer eRecovery.
Follow these steps:
Click Start and then All Programs
Click Acer and then Acer eRecovery Management
You may be prompted to enter or create a password. This password will be required to use eRecovery in the future. 
In the next window, select Restore or Recovery. This will vary from system to system.
Choose Reinstall Drivers or Applications
Choose Contents 
Choose the driver or application you wish to install
On the right, click the install link and follow the prompts.
The system may restart when installation is complete. If it does not restart, manually shutdown and restart the computer.

when you start click alt+f10
usualy it will give you the posibility to restore the entire system or only windows without loosing personal documents.

(left) Alt + F10 does not work, but (right) Alt Gr + F10 does work.

1. Click "Start," "Turn Off Computer" and then "Restart", if it is on. If your computer is off, turn it on by pressing the power button above the keyboard.
2. Press the "F2" function key on your computer's keyboard to enter the BIOS utility.
3. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Main." Confirm that the "D2D Recovery" is "Enabled." If the D2D option is "Disabled," scroll down to the option using the down arrow key. Press "Enter" to change the option to "Enabled."
4. Use the laptop's right arrow key to scroll to "Exit." The "Exit Saving Changes" option will be highlighted. Press "Enter" to save the settings and exit the BIOS utility. Your Acer Aspire will restart.
Reformatting the Acer Aspire
1. Press the "ALT" and "F10" keys together while your computer is restarting and the Acer logo is showing to enter the Acer Aspire's reformatting utility.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts. Your laptop's hard drive will reformat and the original applications will be reinstalled. Your computer will restart after the reformatting process is complete.
3. Enter your name and other personal information when prompted during the Windows operating system setup process.

If you want to recover your Original OS, just simply install another OS and type your product key as listed in at the back of your laptop...and after that your OS it back...

first you go to google and download unetbooting,its an application which allows you to boot form a usb,it is very much easy to use.it will be in a zip folder,just extract it into your own folder.and run the program.you can use vista or windows 7 to format or make partition.you must go to bios settings to make it boot from usb
